Lyn Sey - 300 Miles
Country, Pop, Inspirational
Georgia, United States

Overall Impression: Led by a strong lead vocal performance and wonderfully arranged, "300 Miles" is a solid country-pop track that is both highly listenable and delightfully uplifting. Lyn Sey gives a tremendously emotive and delicate performance that is thoroughly engaging and very well-accomplished, resulting in a song that you can't help but feel invested in. Great stuff!

Strongest Point(s): The lead vocal performance is excellent, combining a great amount of expression and gracefulness, it fits this style of the song very well and is a perfect match for the well-conceived lyrics. The lead vocals are backed by a brilliant backing that captures the pop-country vibe perfectly, incorporating such genre staples as the lap steel/slide guitar and slightly overdriven rhythm guitar to create a texturally rich musical backdrop for the vocals to glide over. The key change at 2:38 provides a great contrast to the rest of the track and is very well-placed, both unexpected and attention-grabbing, it adds a great amount of variation to the song and is the perfect way to bring the tune to a close.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of country-pop will have a lot to love about "300 Miles" due to its uplifting and feel-good nature.

Artist target suggestions: Miranda Lambert, Kathy Mattea, Lady A, Kellie Pickler, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Sara Evans, Jo Dee Messina, Martina McBride, Little Big Town, Faith Hill, Reba McEntire, Lauren Alaina
