Overall Impression: Auriet is the passion project of two South African sisters, Victoria and Jessica Ferra, and that passion is on full display with their release of "Stardust", the first track from their debut EP, eponymously titled Auriet. Blending influences from pop, rock, and even classical music, Auriet's sound is rich and vibrant, due in no small part to impeccable production as well as the inclusion of an exceptional live string quartet. Featuring Victoria's angelic yet powerful lead vocal that soars above a lush and dynamic arrangement on "Stardust", while sister Jessica skillfully handles the guitar duties and lends her equally lovely voice to the background harmonies. "Stardust" is truly upbeat in its tone, and carries with it an inspirational message of radiance and optimism, making this track required listening for any fans of contemporary pop music and beyond. Strongest Point(s): Outstanding production, just a gorgeous sounding track. Very nice balance in the mix. Excellent arrangement, from start to finish. Great instrumentation. Vocals sound amazing, both in the lead and the background parts. The strings really make this song come alive, and add a touch of class and elegance that most modern pop music lacks. Strong lyrics that should have broad universal appeal. Very impressive piece of work, especially for a debut effort. Fantastic job, by everyone involved!
