Dize - Gossip
Hip Hop/Rap, R&B, Afro Pop
Lagos, Nigeria

Overall Impression: An intoxicating mix of R&B, hip-hop and reggaeton with “Gossip” hip-hop artist Dize brings his seductive blend of romance and seduction with sultry Latin guitar and sick beats and lyrics that are a bit salacious. Dize has used influences in both R&B and Rap for a fusion that is hip, fresh and appealing to younger adult audiences or for listeners who are bored with the tried and true and just looking for something different. The song has great radio and film appeal, in fact, it's gothic beginning with haunting sounds of a pipe organ are reminiscent of the gothic, haunting and eerie sounds of composer Phillip Glass's score of the horror film "Candyman".

Strongest Point(s): Melodically and vocally is where the song's strength's shine. From the beginning it has that great opening hook, with a haunting, eerie and gothic sound almost malevolent foreboding is ahead. However, the tune quickly for a lighter, smoother tighter flow with great beats that come on strong from the beginning. The overlapping vocals and harmonies create an echoing effect, that is sexy, seductive and romantic and contributes to that familar R&B sound. The quick beats and smooth and sexy vocals are clean and tight and will certainly entice anyone on the dance floor. There are a lot of soft, flowy and almost feather-like sounds that create the melody, from the sounds of the pipe organ in the beginiing to the sounds of acoustic Spanish guitar and little nuances here and there with sounds from the keyboard. Vocally, Dize's tone and vocal runs are tight and totally mesh well with the beat and overall composition of the song. The overall production of the song is balanced and mix well and one piece does not overshadow another.

Target Audience Appeal: For fans of hip-hop, rap, R&B, and Afro-pop, Reggae.

Artist target suggestions: DMX, Fabulous, Cypress Hill, Tyga, Kid Cudi, The Weeknd, Trey Songz, The Notorious B.I.G, Kendrick Lamar, Timbaland, Ne-Yo, and Jason Derulo.
