Ceddysius - Relapse
Hip Hop/Rap, Pop, R&B
Washington, United States
Overall Impression: "Relapse" is the latest release from the exceptionally talented recording artist, Ceddysius. Drawing influences from pop, hip hop and r&b, as well as ambient music, Ceddysius creates fascinating, hypnotic soundscapes upon which to paint his lyrical masterpieces. Ceddysius' lyrical content usually deals with some of the darker, more personal issues that most songwriters tend to shy away from, and "Relapse" is no exception. This time, he takes a long look at the struggle of addiction from a strikingly honest and candid vantage point. Fantastic production and superb vocals make "Relapse" an easy recommendation for music fans across the board, but especially ones looking for something with a little bit of an edge to it. Be sure to check out Ceddysius' other works, available on iTunes and other streaming platforms.
Strongest Point(s): Excellent production, nice balance to the mix. Outstanding vocal performance and arrangement. Very nice beat design and backing track, really shows off the more ambient side of your music. Major props for working the word "wendigo" into the lyrics. Once again, your lyrics are one of your main strengths. Very honest and personal, as well as being more introspective than most standard hip hop and r&b. Another stellar track, amazing job!
