Arcus - Resonance
Dance/Electronica
Belgium

Overall Impression: Filled to the brim with hard-hitting synth and complex melodic concepts, "Resonance" is a polished and deftly produced track that excels with its multi-layered textures and inventive ideas. Arcus does a marvelous job crafting a sprawling soundscape for listeners to get soaked up in and it's clearly evident that this artist has a lot to say.

Strongest Point(s): The diverse range of sounds on display is excellent, the texture of the arrangement is built from a diverse selection of different tones and timbres, offering a great amount of detail and character to the track that is both absorbing and strikingly hypnotic at times. The energy on display is infectious, you can't help but move to the beat, and for any electro/dance-based piece of music that manages to successfully accomplish this, it's a massive compliment. This is the type of track you could easily see being played in front of a big crowd at an outdoor festival, it has that sense of vitality to it, and with a bit of luck, this will hopefully be the case one day for Arcus. Solidly produced, well-written, and mesmerizing in its execution, "Resonance" is a great track. It's also worth noting that the overall mix is solid, managing to find a great balance between acute attention to detail and an "in-your-face" type of attitude, great work!

Target Audience Appeal: This will certainly appeal to fans of electronic-based music genres, it's a particularly bold track and has a lot to offer for electro lovers.

Artist target suggestions: Kavinsky, Jean Michel Jarre, Assemblage 23, Seabound, Justice Colony 5, Pride And Fall, In Strict Confidence, VNV Nation, Frozen Plasma, Funker Vogt, Culture Kultur, Syrian, The Prodigy, Solitary Experiments
