NOS Jones - Wrist Cut Sorority
Alternative/Alt. Rock, Pop, Progressive rock
California, United States

Overall Impression: Wrist Cut Sorority is a newly released tune by NOS Jones. Opening with a dreamy guitar melody over a moderately slow tempo, Wrist Cut Sorority instantly transports listeners to a different state of mind. Overall, the tune has a strong psychedelic feel with hints of classic rock, alternative, and folk. The instrumental sections provide a kaleidoscopic wash of color that swirls overhead. Sung by Cassie Brandi, the poetic lyrics paint a dark picture of detachment, numbness, suicide, and pain. Brandi's voice soars over the band with a powerful tone and excellent vibrato. Full of passion and a killer tone, the guitar work tells its own story and is solidly supported by the rest of the band. Composed by J.A. Putman, Wrist Cut Sorority is a breathtaking song layered with artistry and raw creativity.

Strongest Point(s): The instrumental work really stuck out to me on this track. It is so colorful, and full of different moods. The lyrics however, are worth noting. While approaching a truly raw and difficult subject, they are presented through a beautifully poetic means.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of psychedelic, alternative, and arena-rock will enjoy Wrist Cut Sorority by NOS Jones.

Artist target suggestions: Led Zeppelin, Stevie Nicks, Janes Addiction, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Muse, Soundgarden, Talking Heads, Alanis Morissette, 4 Non Blondes
