Pat Baer - Make the Best of It
Alternative/Alt. Rock, Contemporary Adult, Consciousness
New Jersey, United States

Overall Impression: Pat Baer is an artist and musician that wants to create music with a message, a song that will have a lasting impact and effect on her listeners while raising the social conciousness and energy level of the human population. With "Make the Best of It", Baer imparts that happy-go-lucky, uplifting attitude throughout the song. Although, she states she was raised on rock, her music tends to lend itself to the sound of genres like pop-rock, new-age and soul. With a vocal tone, that lends itself to a higher pitch and a positive attitude and demeanor, Baer would find success in the children's or juvenile market of music or possibly even a musically educational cd for children as well.

Strongest Point(s): With " Make the Best of It", the melody is where the song shines with the accompanying positive lyrics and Baers high pitched, yet soft vocals that mimick an almost child-like voice. The song begins with the sound of piano, bass, cymbals and soft drums. There is a nice beat, almost gospel like in it's sound with similar chords and accents. The sound is very reminiscent of a simpler time of the 50's and 60's. The chorus and the bridge toward the end are a nice compliment as it is personal as Baer's grandchildren sing the tune with her in perfect unison and contributing to some nice harmonies throughout the song.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of pop, pop-rock, new age, ambient and soul

Artist target suggestions: Tania Maria, Vanessa da Mata, Luciana Souza, Soulstance, Queen, Yes, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Styx, David Bowie, Tori Amos, Roger Eno, Bel Canto, Diana Krall, Sinead O' Connor
