Phoenix Kings - Dirty Dozen
Alternative/Alt. Rock, Rock, Indie
Canberra, Australia
Overall Impression: "Dirty Dozen" is a hard rocking track from Australian band, Phoenix Kings. Machine-gun guitar riffs and precision drumming highlight this barroom brawler that tells the story of a wild ladies' night out on the town. Plenty of attitude and grit, very solid song.
Strongest Point(s): I thought the chorus was strong. Good hook. Rhythm section is tight throughout. Excellent attitude on the vocal. The bridge/solo section is outstanding, perfect way to break up the arrangement. Then I like how you bring it back in, dynamically.
Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Rock, Hard Rock, Classic 70s and 80s Rock, Blues Rock
Artist target suggestions: AC/DC, ZZ Top, Steppenwolf, Ted Nugent, 38 Special, Johnny Winter, George Thorogood, Deep Purple
