Mark Prey and the Hunters - Sad Day
Rock
Orgeon, United States

Overall Impression: An eclectic, funky, and fun fusion of country, folk, blues, and soul. Mark Prey and the Hunters have released their latest single" Sad Day", Prey's raspy drawl and vibrato and soulful blues undertones in the melody, and there's a somewhat thoughtful but subdued and restrained melody that's at the heart of American, bluegrass, and country music. It is the combination of those genres that are the roots and foundations and roots for Prey's composition. Prey a classically trained composer and producer and that is evident in its instrumentation and performance and professionalism.

Strongest Point(s): The overall composition is strong but the way in which both Prey's vocals and the accompanying harmonies are performed and blended in the melody make it one of this song's strengths. Prey's raspy, yet controlled and soulful style is comparable to that of the Righteous Brothers, Bob Seger, and Joe Cocker to name a few. The added elements of drums, guitar, cymbals, and triangles give it a free-flowing, 60's vibe with a gentle but effective melody and flow and just enough variation between the composition to make it interesting and appealing to listeners of various genres and who long for a little bit of the music of the glory days, where the nights were long and the possibilities were endless.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of country, soul, country-rock, blues, acid rock, and bands like Chicago, Bruce Springsteen and Otis Redding, The Righteous Brothers, and John Denver

Artist target suggestions: Rush, Deep Purple, The Who, Pink Floyd, Yes, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, Grateful Dead, Toto, Air Supply, Jefferson Starship, Blue Oyster Cult, Joe Cocker, Neil Young,
