DJ Rick Reed - Rest Stop
Dance/Electronica, Instrumental Hip Hop, Funk-Disco
New York, United States

Overall Impression: "Rest Stop" is an upbeat electronic composition with a modern disco-funk style groove, sure to get you on your feet and dancing to the beat! DJ Rick Reed starts the track off with a light, retro sounding rhodes, and an infectious bass line that leave the listener waiting for the beat to drop. Soon enough your head starts nodding as the drum track puts motion in the groove, and the ultra funky jazz-style synth provides a joyous melody. As you listen, you will notice highlights of vocals, percussion, guitars, and an overall disco essence with a sexy undertone. DJ Rick Reed has a way of combining 70's-style music with current sounding production that is unique, and thoroughly intriguing while it is enjoyed.

Strongest Point(s): "Rest Stop" has an advantageous groove with a solid beat that really gets your body moving! The thick bass line holds down the groove, giving DJ Rick Reed a chance to explore his funkier side with a Bernie Worrell-like synth. The production quality is top-notch, as is the composition and performance. "Rest Stop" has great momentum as it keeps moving right along, all the while giving off a feeling of relaxed happiness, putting the listener at ease and allowing them to forget their troubles for a while.

Target Audience Appeal: If you're looking for an upbeat dance groove, the likes of Mr. Scruff or Todd Terje, then you should definitely give "Rest Stop" a listen. But don't be fooled into thinking DJ Rick Reed is a one trick pony, he actually produces a variety of instrumental HipHop, Dance and R&B styles that include West Coast, Underground, Electronic, Space Disco, House, LoFi and Old School. DJ Rick Reed enjoys connecting with his fans by creating easily relatable music of all styles.
