the Wonder Dawg - Love (Organic Remix)
Hip Hop, R&B, Soul
Oregon, United States

Overall Impression: Marco Antonio Berrios, better known as the Wonder Dawg, encapsulates something that we all know but can't always put into words - love isn't logical and it doesn't make sense, but we keep coming back to it. Beginning "Love (Organic Remix)" with a lone electric guitar and dialogue about what he knows about love, the listener clearly understands what the Wonder Dawg is saying and can mostly likely relate to him in one way another. Once he has you hooked, the Wonder Dawg jumps into a R&B-infused rap verse that has you bopping your head and taking in every quick word. The instrumental piece between the guitar and drums that follows forces the listener to get wrapped up in their own thoughts of love, and when you think the song starts to fade out, the Wonder Dawg comes back to repeat that "Love ain't Logical" in an offbeat, rambling tune, which illustrates the illogical and discursive tone that love takes both on this song and in life.

Strongest Point(s): Wonder Dawg has deep a richness and texture in his voice that makes you want to hang on to every word and know more of his back story behind why he believes love doesn't make sense. The instrumentation adds a Blue/Jazz element, making the sound of this song appealing to any crowd.

Target Audience Appeal: For anyone confused about love, for those who love soulful R&B, Jazz and Rap.

Artist target suggestions: Amos Lee, Robin Thicke, Musiq Soulchild, B.B. King, Amy Winehouse, Tracy Chapman, J. Cole, Dave Matthews, John Legend
