AudiRush - Edenix
Dance/Electronica, Gothic, Progressive
Guadalajara, Mexico
Overall Impression: This is the sound of walking downstairs into a dingy, poorly lit nightclub. The kind of electronic dance music made for late-night excursions to the seedier parts of town. You won't hear music like this playing on the main floor of your local EDM party. This is music for people of a more darkly inclined persuasion. Guadalajara, MΓ©xico's AudiRush pulls inspiration from those early 90's nocturnal, psychedelic electronic/breakbeat classics by producers like Orbital, Praga Khan, Coil, Meat Beat Manifesto, Underworld, etc., but adds their own original stamp on that lovely sound, with the song Edenix. Really wonderful production all around here, the beat is nice and hypnotic, while some slightly unnerving electronic pads weave in and out of the mix. Great whispered, atmospheric vocals float over the whole track. Super chill, dark and danceable music here. This DJ would definitely drop this in one of their own DJ sets!
Strongest Point(s): The whole song is really strong! The vocals are really nicely recorded. Not too loud and nice and atmospheric, blending into the song, not overpowering it. Great job here.
Target Audience Appeal: Would recommend sending this to blogs and publications that cover Darkwave/Industrial & EBM. This sound is very appealing to that fanbase. A recommended blog: Songs From Under The Floorboard and a great label you could try reaching out to. The reviewer definitely feels this track would appeal to all of the more darkly inclined electronic music fans out there. So definitely look into that scene!
Artist target suggestions: Orbital, Coil, Order 0V Thee Octopi, Pop Will Eat Itself, Renegade Soundwave, Massive Attack, Underworld, PIG, Cybotron, Blastromen, Depeche Mode, Boy Harsher, Dark Vektor, etc.
