Delta High - Dear Sanity
Pop, 60's Sunshine pop, 70's Sunshine Pop
Norwich, United Kingdom
Overall Impression: Delta High has written a very beautiful song here! Dear Sanity has a mix of great vocals and lovely instrumentation/accompanist throughout. The song starts off with a beat that engaged the audience, followed by a mellow bass line accompanied by different guitar tracks. The singer has a beautiful, light-toned voice that fits really well with the feel of the entire song, and the back-up vocals are presented in a great way; not too much, but enough to keep the audience on their toes. Overall, this song is really innovative!
Strongest Point(s): Dear Sanity is both a high-energy, yet mellow song. The singer has a beautiful voice, and lyrics that tell a fun story. The melody is memorable, as well as great to sing along with! There is a really great balance between vocal lines and instrumental lines, and each member of the band seems to work very well with each other. The harmonies fit very well with the melody and it doesn't overpower the melody. I LOVE the spoken section of this song. It reminds me of Madonna, specifically her song Vogue. The ending ties the entire song up nicely. I'm looking forward to hearing more of Delta High's work!
Target Audience Appeal: This song would target well with younger people who enjoy Pop, Disco, Synth Pop, 70's Funk, Easy Listening, even Country and Country Pop, and similar genres.
