BetylJoos - Wishing Well
Rock, Alternative Metal
New York, United States

Overall Impression: BetylJoos drops this modern hard-hitting rock anthem Wishing Well, laced with strong lyrics and delivered with confident vocals. I was moving along the entire time listening, and singing along by the second chorus, as the lyrics are easy to follow and accessible - I can imagine listeners singing along at the top of their lungs, driving with the windows down. Often times, when a song is on the longer side (for radio edits) it feels that way, but this 4:30 flew by and I found myself replaying Wishing Well over and over.

Strongest Point(s): The mix is really strong, and it is evident that BetylJoos has been playing together for a long time, and if not it is all the more impressive. The musicians are clearly masters at each of their own craft, but the culmination of sounds makes for an excellent collaboration that many groups would be jealous of - each voice speaks well on its own and adds to the whole like a perfect recipe to make not only a delicious entree, but a whole meal of beauty. Lastly, even though the lyrics are powerful, the voice is not overpowering, yet confident and calm. The choice in instrumentation and effects are also well done, again adding to the whole and not overdone.

Target Audience Appeal: This tune in particular is reminiscent of early Paramore, and I would suggest trying to follow their path to fame (without copying them to a T). Saturate your social media pages with your music constantly, and expand to new platforms you may not be comfortable with, along with advertising your music for use in all forms of media, such as radio(mainstream and streaming) streaming platforms such as Hulu and Netflix, tv, games, ads, social media promotions, and anything else you can think of. These days, most artists aren't searching for a label anymore, as they have a high tendency to screw over their artists. Get a social media expert/manager to promote you hard, play live shows over the internet (start free with the option to tip and build from there). These are only a few suggestions I have, but your future is huge if you're hungry enough.

Artist target suggestions: Paramore for sure, but remember that although it is important to have influences and role models, your voice is key in your musical future.
