Qwiet Type - Found You
Alternative/Alt. Rock, Pop, Indie Dance
FL, United States

Overall Impression: Qwiet Type's original Piano Pop ballad, Found You, begins with unassuming keys beneath ethereal vocals in a lyrical exploration of purposeless wandering - then, having convinced the listener of the track's harmonically simple but emotionally salient properties, Qwiet Type incorporates warmly engaging strings in a variety of ranges, building a sense of drive and excitement that speak to a hopeful promise of greater things to come. By the time the drums enter the soundscape, listeners are fully immersed in the sonic world that Qwiet Type has so carefully crafted, experiencing the purpose-laden elation that the lyrics are espousing in tandem with the song's narrator - lost in a sea of cleverly wrought catharsis.

Strongest Point(s): The structure of this song is absolutely brilliant. The instrumental tones are gorgeous, and each independent part fills its role flawlessly - but the decision to hold the strings until 1:35 makes them massive when they land - and the following drum drop at 2:35 is perfectly understated and incredibly satisfying. Very effective harmonic and melodic writing, very repeatable hooks and catchy concepts. Pristine mix and a finely polished final product. This is really stellar work!

Target Audience Appeal: Listeners who enjoy Indie Pop love ballads and sweeping orchestral instrumentations will find themselves comfortably at home inside the sound of Found You, while the sentimental lyricism and smoothly building emotional payoff of the song make it a really strong candidate for use in film and television! Qwiet Type's understated application of satisfying musical devices makes for a deeply rewarding listening experience, no matter what genre you prefer - and those that take the time to listen in will be so glad they've Found You. Couldn't resist! Thanks for sending this in!

Artist target suggestions: Coldplay, Patrick Cunningham, Bibio, Jose Gonzales, Ruth B., Alt-J, Peach Pit, Local Natives, Tōth, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Steve Benjamins, Kishi Bashi, Mother Falcon, ALASKALASKA
