Drobinko - Heart Me

Rock, Indie
NY, United States

Overall Impression: Drobinko is combining 2000's pop-punk with a modern Electro-feel. This combination is one of brilliance in Heart Me, with a fresh unique sound, and an all around great song. Drobinko had me dancing the whole song, and I was singing along by the second chorus. Along with that the mix is well balanced, along with the combination of electric and acoustic sounds and instruments, and the added stereo effects are a wonderful sprinkle on top. The form of the song is easy to follow, and the it has a feeling of being projected forward the whole time, providing a sense of moving on.

Strongest Point(s): The cohesiveness of Drobinko is remarkable. All of the musicians are masters of their instrument and voice, and their musicianship and ability to play together is phenomenal. The mix is so strong and well done, it hits all the marks as a listener, engaging the entire time, and begging to be sung along with. It is apparent that this group has been playing together for years, and if not it is all the more impressive.

Target Audience Appeal: This does have a strong Weezer, Fountains of Wayne vibe to it, and I feel that listeners of that genre will engage most with you, likely between high school age and late 30's. This would run well on a festival circuit, along with on screen (streaming services, Indie movies, and the like). This is a great windows down driving song to sing along with at the top of your lungs in the car. I can really see this song becoming a hit.

Artist target suggestions: Blink 182, Coldplay, Daughtry, Fall Out Boy, Foster The People, Fountains of Wayne, Fun., Green Day, Linkin Park, Neon Trees, Oasis, Paramore, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The All-American Rejects, The Cars, The Cranberries, The Fray, The Killers, The Strokes, Train, U2, Weezer
