It's getting close to that dreadful time, yep..tax season. It can be overwhelming and confusing as musicians to deal with the reality of taxes, but it doesn't have to be.  Most working musicians are considered "self-employed" in regard to filing their taxes, and the musician has a number of tax deductions that are unique that you may not know could lower your taxes.
