It's that time of the year again! The holiday season is here and ready to bring with it all those great tunes! As the holidays bring about the most popular time of the year for listeners on Jango.com, Radio Airplay will be bringing their artists holiday gifts in the form of promotions and contests!
This year we're happy to announce our 2012 Radio Airplay Holiday Contest. Our team of judges will be picking the best holiday song submission which will be rewarded with an exclusive promotion package. So if you have a Christmas/
Eid/Festivus song for the occasion, join in!
20 winners will receive the following prize:
- 1,500 Play Credits Each
- Top rotation on our most popular Holiday stations
- Exclusive promotion in our weekly newsletter & social media outlets
How To Submit
- Please follow directions carefully.
- Please Do Not attach any files to your submission, it will not be counted.
- Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
- In the subject line please put: Radio Airplay Holiday Contest
- In the body of the email include ONLY your artist name and one song title.
- Include your airplay profile URL (This can be found in the top right corner of your dashboard by clicking ‘View Profile’)
- Only one submission per airplay artist/band
- Deadline is Friday November 30th, 11:59pm EST
- The song must be uploaded and live on your Radio Airplay profile before submission
- Winners will be announced Wednesday December 5th

If you logged into your dashboard recently you should have received a notice regarding our change from Jango Airplay to Radio Airplay. All it means is that we've gotten a facelift and made some improvements to the site to enhance your experience and the power of Airplay. The changes will in no way affect your existing account or music promotion except your account should now be accessed using www.radioairplay.com/bands/login
Radio Airplay will continue to provide a great service for bands/artists looking to get their music heard. We're pushing the boundaries to increase your exposure, and over the coming months we hope to make some exciting new features available to you as an Airplay customer. Your thoughts on the new site is of great importance to us and we will continue to gather feedback for a few more weeks, so if you have suggested improvements please email us.

Meet Chilla, a 16 year old singer from Indonesia who's latest music video has more than 2.3 million views on YouTube. She's got gigs lined up in Indonesia, an upcoming TV appearance and hopefully a US tour coming soon. Things are definitely looking up for Chilla, and we're happy to present her on Radio Airplay. When was Chilla formed and where?
Chilla was formed 2009 in Indonesia after I was discovered as a songwriter & pianist who also sings very well. I began playing piano at the age of 7 and won many competitions, locally & internationally. Then when I was 11, I wrote my first song which got a great response, and at that point people knew I had a unique voice. I made many songs after, and at age 12 I came out with a Christian album in Indonesia.
Name two people who have influenced your music, and tell us why.
Katy Perry - her music is fun. Kelly Clarkson - her music is amazing and has a little bit of an edge to it.
How do you connect with fans and get them involved in your music?
Twitter and Facebook! My twitter is @ChillaKiana and my Facebook page is itschilla. And of course through my website www.itschilla.com.
What do you like the most about Radio Airplay?
What I like the most is, of course, the fact that people who listen to big artists can also listen to Chilla. This feature makes it a lot easier for me to gain new fans and listeners!
Is there any recent project you'd like to share with us? Tell us about it.
Well, I recently launched my music videos (Jealous and Your Loneliest Hour) on VEVO and YouTube, and the music video for Your Loneliest Hour actually entered the top 3 on the VEVO charts when it was launched, with Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen, so that's pretty exciting! Watch it here:
Are you playing live and do you have any shows coming up soon?
Yes, I play live shows in Indonesia and I have some TV appearances coming up! I hope to play in the US soon!!

These kinds of songs will get fans more involved in your music, drive them to Facebook & Twitter and even sell tickets for your next gig. On Radio Airplay your music will get a lot of 'first impressions' and the more you can wow new listeners with your song, the bigger and more involved your fanbase will be.

The Promo Module is your window to your listeners & fans. It is the first thing they see when they hear your music and their first chance to interact with your artist profile. A well presented module can generate a good vote and perhaps a Facebook like or a visit to your website. There are six different modules available and they're all geared to fit your current campaign needs. Below we'll give you a quick overview of the different modules and how you can make the most of them.
Keep in mind that whichever module you use, your profile picture is probably the single most important element of your presentation.
This module promotes the voting mechanism of Radio Airplay (i.e. thumbs up). Use it to build a strong fanbase on Airplay, but also show listeners that they can connect with you on Facebook & Twitter as well as iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby and Tunecore.
Most listeners have a Facebook account - and they spend a lot of time there! This module will connect your Radio Airplay fans to the most popular social destination on the web so you can keep them engaged with your music, new releases and concerts.
*Remember that you need a connected Facebook page (not a personal profile) to use this module.
This module is specifically designed to promote your tour schedule, and you can optimize it by targeting your plays to the area where you're performing. If you use premium targeting you can make sure each and every spin is directed to a potential ticket buyer.
This module gives listeners a fast, easy way to watch your YouTube videos. YouTube links are really easy to share on social media and many listeners post videos on their own or friends' walls. Connect your video and let listeners spread it to help you create buzz about your new single or album release.
This module shows listeners where they can buy your music - with smart icons they simply click the store logo and it takes them to your storefront. You can connect to iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby and Tunecore, or if you use another distributor or sell music directly, you can add a custom link. You can even enhance your offer by adding a creative "custom message" that will catch listeners attention.
This flyer gives you total visual control of your message - you design the banner and provide a destination link to drive listeners to your web page, Facebook page etc.
*Keep in mind this flyer will significantly decrease your fan conversion ratio since the voting mechanism (thumbs up/down) is removed.
