Airplay Band of The Month - EarlyRise

EarlyRise What If Album Cover
Meet EarlyRise, an Israeli hard rock band founded in 2009. They're fresh off tour dates in Singapore and the next stop is India! On top of that, they're about to release a new single and start work on a second album. These guys are keeping themselves busy - read their story and listen* to Early Rise here on Jango Airplay

*Four songs from their first album "What If" are available for free download, enjoy and thanks for supporting our Airplay bands.

Describe EarlyRise's sound in one sentence?
A combination of hard rock, soft rock and metal.

When and where was EarlyRise formed?
About 2.5 years ago in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Name three people who have influenced your music and tell us why (living or dead).
Raz (guitar): Dave Mustaine from Megadeth is the one who exposed me to heavier rock for the first time. Rudolf Schenker from the Scorpions has influenced me the most as a guitar player.

Adam (Guitar): John Petrucci from Dream Theater has influenced me professionally and showed me the importance of self discipline when it comes to practicing guitar. Also, I only now realize the influence my grandfather had on my musical life. I pretty much stayed away from ethnic music until right before he passed away - that's when he introduced me to it for the first time. I started exploring & practicing ethnic music, and discovered a whole new musical world like, for example, Andalusian music.

Dima (Bass): My father has influenced me the most. He used to be a bass player and worked in the music industry in Russia for many years. He is the reason I started playing bass and I remember we used to play together when I was younger.

Itamar (Drums): My drum teacher has inspired me and set an example of an amazing drummer, which drove me to be very persistent in the beginning. These days I get inspired by drummers from all over the world through YouTube.

Orly (Vocals): There are a lot of artists who have influenced me over the years, but the person who has influenced me the most is my vocal coach, Lee Triffon. She has taught me everything I know as a singer and always inspired me to push my limits and not be afraid to challenge myself.
