Did Anyone Go To MIDEM & MIDEM.NET ?

Did any of our Airplay artists, labels or managers head over to this year's MIDEM & MIDEM.NET ?

If so we'd love to hear from you about positive experiences, great panels, big deals etc. that you may have come across while there.

Or, if you'd just like to tell us stories about stumbling down the playa we're all ears...

Did you meet 'em at MIDEM ?

I was apart of IRL Consultants catalog this year for Midem. I was listed as a GosPop artist and the song was "More Than I Have To", it was #10 on the CD out of 31 songs. I'm excited to see what's going to come from the over 2500 catalogs they networked at Midem this year. I'm now on their website www.johnnyrock.com!

Midem was great this year! Lots of interesting panels and many participants! I had a great time and made many useful connections.

I was there some stupid comments were made from the panels, one in particular was context matters content doesn't. I was disappointed that a lot of the dinosaurs were still being listened to and heard. If we listen to the old antique way of thinking that still exists in the music business jango wouldn't be able to exist....

Like Carmen J. Prince, my group "Chaos Control" was at Midem via IRL Music Consultants who had us in their brochure and on the sampler CD for film and soundtrack music. Johnny Rock called me a few days after the conference to tell me that there was interest, but since that call, I haven't heard anything. I realize that these things take time, but it's kinda difficult to wait! I hope it was money well spent!
