Feature Update: The Realtime Listener Feed

As 2011 kicked off we started burning the midnight oil here at Jango to bring you what we think is the most exciting feature yet on Jango Airplay: the Realtime Listener Feed, a dynamic feature bringing to life the interaction of artists, songs, listeners and fans as it happens.

When you log in to your Airplay account you will see a feed on the right hand side of your dashboard that displays who is listening to your music right now, which song they are hearing, why we matched your song to the listener's station, as well as where they are located.

From the feed you can click on the listener’s name to view their profile, see what other music they have been listening to and generally get a sense of their interests. Remember that all of the listeners in your feed with have one thing in common - they have all indicated a preference for the artists that you are targeting. Look for differences between listeners who become fans and listeners that do not, or try to identify aspects about your fans that make them similar beside the artists you have targeted!

Also, when a listener ‘becomes a fan’ they are tagged in the feed with a big ‘thumbs up’ which enables you to email them right from the feed in realtime. This also shows you what songs you have in rotation that are generating the most fan activity.

Expect more big things in 2011 from Jango Airplay
