Twas the Night Before Airplay...

Courtesy of Chris, our CTO -

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the 'Net, there were
bands whose music had not been heard yet!

They all had one wish for Santa this year: have their music play
somewhere that people would hear!

Then out on the web there was posting and tweeting about a place where
new artists and fans were all meeting!

And what to their wondering ears had evolved? The future of internet
radio was solved!

Have your music played to seven million new ears, the process is fast
- you'll be on by new years.

Pick artists that sound like the music you've made, and we'll put them
all together when stations are played.

It's music discovery where everyone wins - you can find great new
music while the Bands get their spins!

And after 50 plays you'll get a PopScore, which can give you free
plays, sync deals and more.

Target plays to just people who like you the best, by gender, by age,
in Boston or Budapest.

It's called Jango Airplay, and we hope it spreads cheer, sharing more
new songs with the world next year!

In one week, with one song, we've been heard in at least 15 states and 13 foreign countries. We've picked up 15 fans, 8 band likes, 42 song likes, and had over 380 plays (360 of them paid). We've identified other artists that our fans like, and targeted our music to them. Our pop score is 70 as of today. Our "likes" (and better) are running about 1 to every 5 plays (20%).

Our song has also been downloaded for radio play and was broadcast on an Australian country music station.

Considering that our song is speciic to the Christmas season and was not completed for upload until December 15th, and was not placed on Jango.com until December 21st, we are as happy as a kid with a new red bicycle.

Getting new and original music out to be heard and appreciated has always been a challenge. Considering my $30 investment and the unexpected positive response, Jango.com has been a fantastic value.

You make us want to be a better band.
